Naoki Iizuka


Born in Shizuoka City, Shizuoka Prefecture in 1987.  After graduating from the university, began to teach at Kamakura Gakuen Junior High School and High School as an English teacher as his current occupation.  Enthusiastically engages in teaching everyday with the motto of “creating lessons that make difference in the children’s minds.”  Has been the coach of ESS club for five years, and started Kamakura tour guide for foreign tourists by exploiting home-court advantage of Kamakura as a part of such activities.  As of 2019, the team has given tours to more than 600 foreign tourists and is now giving reservation-based tours as a trip advisor collaboratively with a travel company.  With his lessons where children lively participate and his approach with ESS club being acknowledged, Iizuka has been introduced in a number of media, including Yomiuri Shimbun newspaper and Kanagawa Shimbun newspaper, etc.  Has given lectures at teachers’ trainings, study meetings for college students and cultural course nationwide.  As his personal activities, continues educational support overseas and gives lessons of ability to think and English to children in the poor parts of Kenya, Philippines, and Bangladesh.
